I owned shih tzus and got divorced/wife took my babies!?)&%$@%^& Bought a chihuahua from a breeder here in R.I. then Schatzie came along! Had a lot to learn re.doxies. Knew NOTHING about them. Now, wouldn't give her up for the world!! Her birthday is 3/8/2007,is the most lovable dog I ever had. She is my shadow when i am home. Has seperation anxiety to the point where she ate wallpaper off the wall one day when I was in work. Working hard not to let her get fat. She was 9 lbs. at one,now still only 10.5. Vet said I was doing good job. Still not 100% housebroken no matter what we try.

Hello my sweet Schatzie
You are indeed a little sweetheart. Tell your Dad to take you out on a leash and give you a "Good Girl" treat. It worked like magic with Herbie and 12 years later he still waits for his "good boy treat" whenever we go outside. I think that doxies love to hunt so much that sometimes when they go outside they just forget about the other things in life like going to potty.I also found that treats in a kong worked wonders to occupy Herbie whenever I would leave for work. He actually does not mind at all when I leave now because he knows it is treat and treat time. Anyway your little shadow lives up to her name, a real sweetheart.

A true doxie for sure. Attached to her person and hard to house train. She is adorable. Hope to see more pictures. Lots of doxie luvs to ya little one. Macy!

So sweet, now be a good Dad and post more pictures!! She sounds like my girl when it come to food. Sometimes I wonder where her appetite comes from. As far as potty training, Sabrett was very easy. 2 weeks, no paper training and we used a crate, however if my husband had been in charge she may never have been trained. So I had to train him on how to train her! LOL. I wish your baby many many happy healthy years as your shadow!!
