Poppy Lou earned hero status this week end when she kept me from a yellow jacket sting that could have been a disaster as I had no epi-pen in the house. She leaped between my reaching hand to chomp at the yellow jacket that was on the item I was reaching for. I think she got a little sting but no apparent allergic reaction. I admit this may have just been her usual bug hunting behavior but it probably saved me a trip to the emergency room or worse if I hadnt realized those creatures had invaded my walk out basement. Now that weve had a visit from Mr. Exterminator Poppy and I are at ease again.
