Sadly, Jeeves went over the bridge on July 14, 2011. My heart is still broken, I miss the coy boy terribly. There is joy in my life with the addition of Teagan Ianto Longfellow to the household but the grief for Jeeves is still there.
Now 3, Jeeves had to adjust to downtown, elevator living when I got him at 11 months. His first owners split and had a baby (!) so Jeeves was returned to his mom and dad dogs out in the countryside. His mom is a red and his dad is a black and tan so Jeeves is a beautiful russet color. His name suits him--I'm the bumbling Bertie Wooster and Jeeves manages my life with good humor.
Jeeves loves getting together with the Chicago Dachshund Lovers and walking in the "Bark in the Park" to raise money for the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society. Mostly though, he loves a Kong with peanut butter.

So Sad...
I so feel for you. My Lola was only 6. You little Jeeves only 4. They grab hold of our hearts and they never let go. Lola has a star named after her. It's comforting to me knowing her name will live on. Jeeves will always live on in your heart too.

Mr Jeeves rip
We too have suffered heartbreak in 2011.. our deepest sympathy to you and Teagan.. We lost our Roxy on 10-30-11.. at the very young age of 3.. She was my big sister, and mama rescued me from my sissy's breeder's son.. : ( ... I have never been alone so it was quite an adjustment. Mama is very heartbroken over losing Roxy.. we miss her very much... We understand your pain and sorrow.. We sure do love our babies.. Love Winnie and my mama

Longsuffering
Desdemona left us just a month after Jeeves left you. I know the sorrow you feel. Will it ever leave? I don't think so. I am happy that you found a new dachsie love who is so beautiful.
