THE BREEDER WHO TREATED HER LIKE A MACHINE NOT A LIVING BREATHING ADORABLE LOVING DOG!

FoxyDoxyRescue writes:

This little sweetheart is Pocket Full of Posey. Posey is one of the 28 dogs we got from a breeder up northon October 13th of 2008! It is a long story on how we got all the dogs but Posey's story explains WHY PUPPY MILLS SUCK AND DESTROY DOGS LIVES! DO NOT BUY DOGS FROM PET STORES OR ON LINE! PLEASE GO TO A BREEDER AND SEE THE DOGS AND SEE HOW THEY ARE RAISED! PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF THE THOUSANDS WHO LIVE MISERABLE LIVES TO PRODUCE ALL THE CUTE PUPPIES IN THE WINDOWS!
This poor girl was only 7 years old. The day we got to the house I saw her in the pen with 13 other dogs. It was very obvious that she had some kind of back problem. I had to weigh the options of taking some of the younger dogs and leaving ones that we knew we would have to spend a lot more money on. Gregg and I decided against taking her because we talked the breeder into more dogs than we had planned. So we loaded up all the dogs and she was the last one left in that pen. She went in the dog house and then came back out. She was looking for all her friends and they were gone! That was it she was coming! I could not leave her! It was obvious the breeder did not care about her so I had to!
The breeder explained that after her last litter a few years ago that she had hurt her back. The breeder then went on to tell me that she could not afford to have her have back surgery! Well it was obvious it was too late for surgery. She would be a crippled dog for life!
Little did I know that in just a few short days I would have to make one a heartbreaking decision!
Shannon who works at Paso Pet Care told me she would take her in and see if there was anything we could do for her!
When I held her and talked to her she wagged her tails and she had total control of her bowels and urine! SO it seemed odd that she walked the way she did.
On the next Friday October 17th we went back up north to get another 14 dogs. On the way home I got a call from Shannon. She said that the vets had looked at Posey and taken x-rays. She had not hurt her back her hips were out of place. When she delivered her last litter her hips popped out! All the damn woman would have had to do was take her in and have them put back in place. Maybe some crate rest for a week or two and she would have been fine!
BUT NO SHE IGNORED HER AND MADE HER TAKE EVERY STEP IN PAIN FOR THE NEXT YEARS OF HER LIFE!
NO AMOUNT OF MONEY COULD FIX POSEY!
I HAD TO HAVE SHANNON TAKE HER BACK TO THE VET AND STAY WITH HER WHEN THEY PUT HER DOWN! I WAS OVER 4 HOURS FROM HOME AND COULD NOT MAKE HER WAIT TILL MONDAY TO TAKE HER PAIN AWAY!
It broke my heart to not get to say good bye to her. She loved to sit in my lap. I had a special pillow for her so that it did not put pressure on her back when I held her.
All she had suffered through she still wagged her tail for me! She still kissed me!
I still cry often about this little girl! I hate to fail and I sure hate to know when I cannot get my way! I fight like hell for these guys and no amount of fight or money was going to change this little precious Posey!
I had to make the decision on what to do with her remains! I wanted her cremated but how could I justify taking that money away from a needy dog!
Thanks to Paula who is a part of our Dachshund Club she was cremated and got to come back home!
The first place where she slept in a warm house every night! The first home that did not care how many puppies she would make for me. I did not love her any less because she could no longer make me money!
She is now our resident RESCUE ANGEL AND SITS ATOP A SHELF WITH MY OTHER DOGS WHO HAVE GONE TO THE BRIDGE!
Posey I am so sorry I could not have found you sooner and made your pain go away! I hope that you are having a great time running and playing up there with no pain! I want you to know I think of you often and you will never ever be forgotten!
You will never be tossed aside again!
You live in my heart and I will keep you there forever!

WE TAKE IN THE DOGS NO ONE ELSE WANTS, THE SICK, AGGRESSIVE, OLD, OVER WEIGHT AND UGLY :-( SO WE ARE QUITE OFTEN FACED WITH DECISIONS THAT LOVE WINS OVER MONEY!
BECAUSE OF THAT WE ARE DESPERATE FOR DONATIONS TO HELP THE ONES WE HAVE HERE NOW!
IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE DETAILS LET ME KNOW! WE ARE GETTING VERY LOW ON FUNDS AND OVERLOADED WITH BABIES IN NEED!
WE ARE NEVER "FULL" WE CAN ALWAYS FIND A FOSTER HOME OR ROOM HERE!

Posey's last day with us
This is the last picture taken of Posey! Shannon and Capi made sure to take some pictures of her before she was taken to the vet to be put down! :-(

Posey's first night here!
Bless this little girl she was a mess! She had mats in her hair, nasty black teeth and a hunched back!

Poey's first night here
This is Posey and a picture of how bad her mats were. It was like she had 3 ears on each side of her head! Talk about neglect!
DO NOT SUPPORT PUPPY MILLS!
DO NOT BUY PUPPIES ON LINE OR FROM PET SHOPS!

Tears for Posey...

It just breaks my heart that this sweet girl didn't get the life here on earth she deserved. Please go after the poor excuse for a human who's treating animals this way and nail her to the wall. Sorry for being so gruff, but this kind of stuff just makes me nuts! I can't thank you enough for all you do. I would love to help. If its ok to include my email address here, you can reach me at redhead_gal75@yahoo. ~Kathy, proud mama of Molly and Ava
