Mommy's Home! Mommy's Home!
I was about 6 months old here in this picture, and I'm almost 12 years now. I've gone through a few transitions, but I'm still as adorable as ever.

My name is Samson, aka "Slimmy Joe Robelot." Something about my mommy having two daughters (now grown) that she had nicknamed Sally Jo Robelot and Sara Jo Robelot (pronounced ROW-buh-low), so somehow I got called Sammy Joe Robelot. But now I'm Slimmy because I used be a fluffy puppy, but Mommy helped me slim down. She wants to help me live longer, she said. Because she was really sad when she said good-bye to Otis. I was sad, too. He was my BFF, even though I did use him as a hurdle when I was a more active puppy. Now they say I'm a senior, because I have a white face and I'm 11 years old. I thought Mom was going to cry when they called me "geriatric" when she took me for my teeth cleaning a few days ago. They had to pull 7 of my teeth.

Long story, but in 2012, we moved from our townhouse of 7 years because there was an evil neighbor who bullied my mom and had the HOA tell Mommy that she had to get rid of me. But my mom is awesome. She chose to move instead. She said it wasn't fair that other homeowners broke the 2 dog maximum rule, but she was the one singled out for it. And she said there's no way she was going to abandon me. Like I said, she's pretty awesome. When my BFF crossed the bridge, it brought me closer to my mom. I appreciate how much she loves me and how she chose me...a living, breathing being with a beating heart...over her townhouse. We still have a happy home, though.

I think my mom absolutely loves ALL Dachshunds. If she ever won the PowerBall, she would buy a farm house with lots of land so she can roll around in the grass all day with a hundred Doxies! That's why they call her Doxie Dori. Well, some people just call her dachshund crazy. I'm glad she decided to max out at three of us. Because with one more, I don't think there would be any room in the bed for her. Then she would move to the couch. And we would just follow her. And it's smaller than the bed. So three just sounds like the perfect number.

I'm not quite as fluffy as I used to be!
This is me in January 2014.

Please don't use the "F" word around me...
I'm not fat...I'm fluffy...

Taking Devon for a walk. He was 2.
"I get to take my 2-legged brother, Devon, for a walk!" (Update: As of August 2014, my 2-legged brother is 9. I'll be 9 in October. I think I should celebrate with cake.)

Herbie's Mom here telling you that you are looking awesome. Loved reading your profile. I also think your Mom is awesome. Glad everyone is doing so well. Once you live with a doxie your hooked for life. I am sad to tell you that I had to help Herbie cross the Rainbow Bridge on Sep. 4 2014. Herbie enjoyed hearing about all of his doxie friends and I know he would want me to keep in touch
