Came from Oklahoma to Massachusetts about 4 yrs ago. My husband took me to the Puppy Patch in Holliston, MA for our 7th anniversary. There were 2 mini dachshunds there (we wish we could've taken them both).
DiDi's the sweetest little girl, well except when there are "critters" in the yard. She loves to help plant! You point and she'll dig you a hole for that plant. Then of course, since she's so dirty, she gets a tubby:) On hot days she runs to the pool to go for a dip. What a great swimmer!
She's incredibly smart. She went to beginner training class, aced that and they had her skip the middle one right to advanced. PetSmart even made a dachshund trick class! Some of the more fun tricks: Close the door, play dead, wave, spin, high five, etc. If I tap my thigh she goes around my back and then comes and sit on the other side of me.
My husband didn't want a dog, but caved in and said he had to pick the breed. Now he can't imagaine life without her and wants another little girl!!

DiDi you are just adorable. I also like to help my Mom dig in the yard and pull weeds, but I have never helped to pull out a radish.(I think it was a radish in the picture) Not only are you gorgeous and athletic, you are also smart. Congratulations
