We got Snuggles when my sister in- law asked us to watch her while their new home was being built.After about 10 minutes I was in love and knew I wasn't going to be able to give her back.After the house was finished my sister in-law realized how much we love each other,plus my sister-in- law knew that Snuggles was a loner dog who hated sharing love with other dogs and my sister in-law had two other dogs(Golden and a Shit zu) and knew my wife and I were a perfect fit for Snuggles.
Snuggles has been an extremely important to my wife and I.My wife is in the medical field and works lots of nights and weekends so Snuggles keeps me company.
In 2008 Snuggles started acting funny and couldn't lift her head.We took her to the Vet and has told she had neck problems.We were heartbroken,but she was put on med's and got better after a couple of months.After that we did everything we could to keep her from jumping on and off things,but couldn't completely stop her.We tried our best and she was alright til this February when she got real bad and worse then last time.I was out of work and struggling to make ends meet so her injury was totally tragic because we weren't in a good financial position.We tried everything including acupuncture..but it was to late she went partially paralyzed..so we went to a new Vet and they gave us all the info we needed and put her on a series of different meds and total cage rest.I kept fer in her crate for 6 weeks.only letting her out to go outside to do her thing then I would carry her back in.I had to sleep on the couch next to her crate for the whole 6 weeks...it was uncomfortable...but I'd do it again if I have to nooo questions asked.After the six weeks of crate rest and meds she started to get better and started walking and getting stronger each week.....Now she's about 90% back to normal...She's my little angel and I love her more then almost anything.
Update 10/29/11 Snuggles passed away this am..after a short and intense illness..I would like to thank everyone here at DD..for the nice things that where said about her...We love her and miss her..she was my angel and now she is one

Snuggles passed away this am..after a short and intense illness..I would like to thank everyone here at DD..for the nice things that where said about her...We love her and miss her..she was my angel and now she is one
