We adopted Stella from Midwest Dachshund Rescue. We met her at German Fest and picked her up on July 31, 2008. She didn't like to be picked up, would sit next to you but not on your lap, and gave no kisses. She now is a kisser, but on her own terms. Although she likes to snuggle next to you, she will climb on Mom's lap, and she is okay with the immediate family picking her up, but not strangers.
