What a sweetie this baby is! Dash was the last one left out of his litter - we never saw his siblings. His birthday is 8/19/2007 and my husband bought him for me for my birthday. He was 12 weeks old when we brought him home with us - to his forever home. I must say that the "family thing" has really worked out for Dash! :-) I had my heart set on a red, female Dachshund and ended up with a black and red male. He is our baby boy and we love, love, love him to pieces. Never, have we regretted not getting the female. He is such a character and so much fun to be with. I would have lots of doxies if my husband would let me. We do plan to add another when our Pekingese passes. I am afraid she doesn't have much longer -she will be missed terribly.
Update 10/16/09:
Dash is now Solo. We put our beloved Pekingese to sleep a couple of weeks ago. She was 14 1/2 years old. I can still remember the day I brought her home. She despised Dash and I don't think he ever figured that out. He just loved her no matter how much she spit and cussed at him. They were so far apart in age though, it made things difficult.
