My Mom wa s looking for something to do while she waited for Dad to finish a job interview in San Bernardino-she found the local shelter-it was starting to rain and se noticed two weiner dogs shivering in an outdoor kennel but it wasn't one that said available-Mom doesn't like us to be cold so she asked the staff and guess what I was available so they asked Mom if she wanted to meet me. Mom said that we live in AZ and she was jsut visiting and the staff said that was ok. They brought me to meet Mom and I hung on for dear life-I even growled a little at the staff person who tried to take me away from Mom-I knew a good thing!!! So Mom paid to have me chiped and off we were to Target to get me a sweater, collar and leash-Boy was Dad surprised when he was done with his interview and there I was snacking on beef jerky with Mom. I wasn't really fond of men but in a house full of guys (Mom is the only girl) I soon got over my fears. Mom thinks I was abused before she found me and so does our vet-it looks like I have a cigarette burn on my back. I'm still a bit nervous of strangers but if you ignore me and let me sniff you a bit pretty soon I warm up and am begging to be petted too.

Sweet William
What an inspiring story you are. I am so happy your mom saved you from being cold and homeless. Not only are you handsome you are also smart to have held on to your mom like you did. You remind me of myself when I was a young flashy dachshund dude. Hope you get your drivers license soon. You sure have a happy face sitting behind the wheel. Wishing many happy years.

Another driver!
Cool - another wienerdriver. I'm checked out on the F350 and the 986, used to drive the Jeep before dad sold it. Not sure about that Suzuki motorcycle thing yet. IMHO - anyone that would put a cigatette out on a doggie needs a hollow point in their muzzle!Oscar
