Reggie is a 2 1/2 year old 'tween' rescue. He came into my life last June after a long journey from his hometown of New Orleans all the way to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Reggie has brought nothing but joy to me since I got him (and rather large vet bills, but hey, that's a dachshund for you). He loves his walks, particularly since we discovered suitable booties to protect his feet from the snow and salt that cover our city for 4-6 months of the year. On warmer days, he frequents the local dog park, where he tries in earnest to play with all the big dogs, forgetting his actual size, attempting to terrorize the Great Danes and Mastiffs. Otherwise, he is normally found under a heap of blankets, cocooning himself for hours on end. He's a great snuggler and I look forward to coming home every day to be greeted by his tail that wags so hard, it almost propels him in circles.
