This is Leah, the little doxie girl that survived my friend Debbie's house fire last week. Leah, one fursister & one furbrother survived, but she lost 6 other fursiblings. Leah has come to live with us. My friend Debbie's son found Leah roaming the streets back in November 2009, she had been at Debbie's house approx. 4 hours and gave birth to 2 dachshund puppies....they didn't even realize she was pregnant. They posted flyers and on craigslist, but nobody claimed her....so we are thinking she was a kennel/breeder dog, considering the condition of her teeth and nails and she had probably escaped....because she is an escape artist. She appears to be about 2-3 years old....weighs about 5 lbs. She is a very sweet and such a cuddlebug! She's not fazed by the crew one bit and she wasn't fazed by Debbie's crew either, so she is used to being around other dogs. But what a miracle she survived the fire, considering she was in the same room with 3 others that didn't. We love you Leah!!

You have had quite a life for being so very small and young. I am so pleased that you were rescued from the streets last year and now you have survived a fire. There must be something very special awaiting you in the future pretty girl. You certainly are very stunning with your beautiful blue eye. Hope you enjoy your day and that you have many more good days in store for the future.
