We have had Oscar for almost 9 yrs. He was purchased from a show dog breeder as a pet since he has some unique features like a small "crook" in his tail. But we love him just the same! He is super friendly and LOVES to lick everyone he meets. He has been layed up with a sore back for a while, but seems to be feeling so much better now. We are watching him very carefully though.
Poor Oscar, he has an abscessed tooth that has to be pulled next week. He doesn't appear to hurt and actually loves to go to the vet. They told me he is the only doxie that actually LIKES them! Through an intestinal blockage, back trouble, and now a pulled tooth, he still loves to go visit the vets, techs, and office staff. He is a trooper!
Thanks to everyone for making my time as the "daily doxie" so cool. I was super thrilled when Mom told me what honor was given me. I curled up next to her on the sofa while she read all the nice commenta about me. I have been doing great. The tooth pulling was a breeze.Thanks to all
UPDATE: Oscar is now 12and 1/2 years old and doing pretty well for a senior doxie. He is still getting around well enough, especially when food is involved! He loves to veg out on his cushion in the family room with me most of the time, but is very interested in going outside to check out what the neighbors are doing. So happy everyone still likes him at dailydoxie and super excited to be the dox of the day!
