Gracie is the newest, and last, member of our family. I had anticipated 4 to be my limit--but have discovered she has a luxating patella so I want to make sure that I have the ability to deal with any complications in the future! Plus, three dachshunds really is more challenging than what I had thought!!!! I got Gracie from a breeder in Globe, Arizona a month ago. She is a year and a half, smaller than the boys, and very delicate and sweet. As far as I can see, she is still having a bit of a time adjusting to her new home--where she was all there was were dachshunds everywhere and her home setting was different--but she has quickly learned her way around her new digs. Ive learned she loves pillows, any pillows, big or small. She either digs to make a cave she sleeps under, or she will squeeze inbetween the pillowcase and the pillow to sleep. She has taken to her new brothers slowly but surely and patiently deals with Emmitt's sneak attacks on her. Like Emmitt, she is very attached to mom, always found at my heels or in my lap.
