Gerta is a red wire-haired doxie. She is 10 months old. She flew to Indiana from NC on Delta all by herself at 9 weeks and 1.6 lbs. She's very very busy all the time and loves her wide selection of squeaky toys. Fourteen year old sister, Chloe, tolerates her pretty well. Chloe is a smooth hair and loves everyone. Gerta likes no one but Mommie and Daddy and sometimes Chloe. If company visits for a week, she will not make up to them enough to be held. She's always been a very good puppy and was pretty easy to train to go pottie outside. She goes into her crate around 10:00 p.m. and doesn't make a peep until around 6:00 a.m. when she is dying to go outside to pottie. She is our little sweetheart. She is also the quietest doxie we have ever seen. She will growl and make a little huffing sound if she hears something outside. She is not the watchdog we had with the sin- twisters Clara and Chloe.
UPDATE: Gerta and Chloe now have a little sister named Roxy Jo. She is a black Yorkiepoo and she gives them a fit. Gerta has really bonded to her and they love sleeping together. Chloe tries to stay out of her way. She was sooooooo much easier to housebreak than a doxie.
