We got Pete from a private breeder as a companion for Oscar, our other dachshund. Pete is very friendly, but a little shy at first. He is such a sweetheart with the family, but puts on a good show out in the yard as the defender of the "castle". That is until he encounters a feather.. they scare him very much. He is part standard and a very loooong dog. Pete has been going to doggie daycare a little bit since Oscar can't play with a sore back. He loves it so much.
Oscar is feeling much better and getting to play a bit so Pete is much happier.
By the way, my son named our Pete after Pete Sampras, his favorite tennis player at the time.

You look just like my sister Princess but your Mom puts you in hats just like me! The only good thing about the dorky hats I have to wear is that I get a good treat after Mom snaps the picture! Hope you have a good holiday season and hope Santa Paws is good to you too!
