I got Mini Cooper from a breeder, as my 50th birthday gift to myself, had wanted a wirehair for years, and am so glad I found Coop ! He turned two years old on October 24th....and we don't know what we would do without him in our lives ! He is my husband's therapy dog....the two of them just love each other. A year after I got Cooper, I adopted a Mini Smooth dachshund from a local shelter, she is Ginger...and Cooper loves her. They are each other's very best friend, and the two behave as one dog for the most part. I also adopted a mini schnauzer mix, my Gizmo...he is Cooper's play buddy and rival for all love and attention....they are hysterical together.
Having two doxie's really doubles the pleasure ! And Gizmo thrown in the mix is a hoot ! Cooper is a jealous little man, thinking he is the king of the house, which of course, is true. Just ask him, he will show you his tag...which reads "Top Dog " . He is an enthusiastic watch dog... to a fault....has a hard time shutting up when he needs to. Thinks he is a big dog, although we know the brave front is a show... he is really a 11 pound cowardly lion ! Please don't tell him I said that folks...his fragile ego could not take it ! He is my golden fleece dog...and is loved every single minute of the day.
