We got Morgan from a farm in Odin Illinois in March 2009, right after his 2nd birthday. He is very timid and terrified of other dogs, but is slowly gaining confidence in his new environment and himself. I hope that he will overcome his fear of other dogs in the near future! Morgan and the cat Missy will probably never be friends, but they at least seem to have finally reached a truce. Morgan is a great snuggler and smoocher, and makes our house complete!
I found Morgan about the same time we joined Midwest Dachshund Rescue (MWDR.org). Even though I am a new member of the group I feel very strongly that they are doing great things for doxies every day. If we ever get a sibling for Morgan it will be from their wonderful organization!
**Update** My grandma adopted a doxie from MWDR a few months ago and named her Tootsie - she's 8 years old from a Missouri puppy mill, so I'm teaching her how to have fun in life and that people are great for snuggles and tummy rubs! Morgan

What a beauty you are Morgan. My favorite friends are the kitties. I like them much better than dogs. I'm allergic though so I can visit but can't live with one. I'm a wierd dog -haha Wishing you lots of fun with your friends and be nice to the kitty. Macy

Bunnies
No, our bunnies don't go white in winter, but w get so much snow that I really don't get a chance to chase any. I did get 2 little ones ths July, a few days apart, and I just can't understand why mom wasn't as excited about it as I was!!! She rinsed my mouth out and everything - ugh! Aunt Toots came and lived with us for 2 months while grandma had a knee replacement, boy do I miss her now! I keep telling mm that I need a sibling, I hope I get one soon. But until I do, we see Toots every other week for a day of play in the yard!!!

Do your bunies turn white in the winter? That would make it more of a challenge catching them! We think your "Aunt Tootsie" is really cute, too. Do you two get a chance to play together, much?
