In August 2008, my mom got an email from a friend of a friend, someone looking for a safe, stable home for a miniature black and tan. The picture came with the email and it was love at first sight. She already had her hands full with Otis (special needs Doxie) and Samson (hypothyroidism) and a very energetic 3-year-old son, but there was room in her heart for me. My name is Trooper. I used to have another mommy, but she was moving to a place that wouldn't allow pets. I was a year and a half when I joined my new mommy, and had no trouble at all snuggling up in her arms right away and smothered her face with kisses, like I'd known her all my life. It was love at first sight for both of us.
