After two years of grieving for the loss of our 17 year old Cocker Spaniel, Peaches, I finally convinced my husband that I could not possibly go through life without a dog in my life. Thinking I may get another Spaniel, preferably a King Charles, I started looking online at the daily classified photos. Having not found the dog with the budget I was willing to pay and feeling a bit sad I began to browse through all breeds. Suddenly I came across the most adorable pair of eyes and said, "I have to have that face!" I picked up Princess Willow on my Birthday (July 2006) from a wonderful breeder and as they say... The rest is history! I had never even considered the Dachshund breed, but now I cannot imagine my life without a little wiener dog! Though fiercely independent, when she gets tired there is only one lap she wants, and she will follow me around scratching seductively on my leg until I agree to sit down and give her the lap she wants.
