Buchanan (Boo) was a rescue puppy, along with three litter mates that were removed from a home by the State!! My brother is a doxie foster parent, and was trying to find him a home, but no one would take Boo because he was not the "normal" looking doxie! He is a double dapple long haired dachshund, and all his brothers/sisters were red smooth short haired! He has one blue eye, and one brown eye, and is tri colored. I took one look at him and fell in love! He was four months old, but only weighed 4 lbs, and he was very sickly! Got him to a vet immediately, and he is now extremely healthy at 6 years old. He is the light of our lives, and is so loving, and goes everywhere with me! We love our little man with all our heart! (And it is true, our last name is Wiener - so we had to have "wienerdogs"!!!!)
Jazz is our newest member to the household (Aug 2010), and is 9 yrs old. He was rescued from a hoarding situation, and he has lost all his teeth (except the 4 canines) probably due to malnutrition. He is a sweet tempered, loving little guy, and is now Boo's best buddy! They are so cute romping around the yard together!
Miss Daisy is our latest addition (July 2011), and is 8 yrs old and also toothless! She was rescued from a breeding operation, and was caged 24/7, so everything is new to her! She loves her two brothers, and is fascinated by our cats!
