Love the snow!
Even though my belly drags, I run through the yard and stop often to bury my head and sniff for buried treasure.

Gracie was born 8-12-08. She has a beautiful, very thick coat of hair that seems to continue changing color. I hadn't realized how much the red doxies change but I love it. Her ears and tail, as well as the hair on her body, still have some black.
She is such a funny little girl. She reminds me of a cat at times - aloof and wanting attention only on her terms. She will sit beside the recliner and cry wanting up but when I reach for her he will take off. She plays that game until she finally decides she truly wants up to snuggle. We lovingly call her our little "cry baby" because she tends to cry often. She will go to the hallway (which leads to the bedroom) where the baby gate is and cry when she gets tired at night and wants to go to bed. Of course, I think it is adorable. It's her way of talking to us I guess.
She loves to go outdoors. We really need a doggy door for her even though I guess she gives me lots of exercise jumping up to let her out. The doggy door wasn't an option until recently - we got a new chain link fence in the back yard! The best investment ever for our doxies.
Her older sister, Maggie, is her best friend. She wakes her up in the morning and is ready to play. Maggie isn't always ready to get up when Gracie gets up but she usually doesn't have a choice. Gracie is very persistent!

Hi Gracie
You are a gorgeous girl Gracie. I play the same game with my mom whining for her to pick me up and then when she reaches down for me I take off. As you know it is a real fun game to play. (Mom really does not get the whole idea of it !) You look really sweet in your sweater. I do not mind my clothes but going naked is fun (providing it is not to cold) Hope the warm weather has made it your way. It is just plain old hot already here in Texas.

Hey There Miss Gracie!!!
Good thing you've got that beautiful, thick, long, red coat! Especially, if you enjoy playing in the snow. You and your friend, Foster, sure look like you are having a good time. You look stylin' in your warm, red sweater. We don't mind wearing our coats and sweaters, 'cause we LOVE being toasty warm! Our favorite picture is of you and Maggie sitting on the end table staring down your Dad. Did he relent and give you girls a bite of what he was eating? Sending you wags and licks.
