Monkey Boy
Bjorn can hear a banana being peeled from a dead sleep under a goose down duvet. It's been well over 9 years since I've been able to eat a banana without his help

Bjorn is an 8 year old tweenie male who is just full of silliness and joy. He's a constant source of inspiration for me.
I got Bjorn as a surprise gift from my mother during a really rough patch in my life and I honestly believe that he's helped save my life just by being who he is.
I had NO CLUE what I was getting into when I said "yes mom I'd like to have the puppy" when she turned up at my house with both him and the breeder. I never knew that dogs could be so stubborn and so independent nor had I any idea about doxies and IVDD.
I'm really lucky that I bought "Dachshunds for Dummies" the day after getting the puppy as it really is a wonderful resource. If not for this book I probably wouldn't have known to keep him slender and strong and to train him to only eat good healthy foods.
despite all of my best efforts Bjorn did develop IVDD this past year and spent 2 weeks with his back legs/tail paralyzed and 8 weeks confined to his crate. I am so grateful that he made a full recovery. I do however live in constant fear of a re-occurrence and as a result am obsessed with his health.

Laundry Day
Bjorn is obsessed with tunneling into the pile of freshly dried laundry and napping. Lucky for him I don't mind hairy, wrinkled t shirts :)

Oh my gosh you are too cute! Mom loves the banana picture. I get to share a banana with mom on the weekend so your picture made us laugh. You are a cutie and we are wishing you a wonderful fall.

Hi handsome! Want to be my Valentine? I was wondering if your mom ever found some fabric harnesses for you. They are much more comfortable than those strap type harnesses that seem to end up rubbing in the armpits. xxxooo from Georgia.
